Every harvest goes to neighbors facing food insecurity. And most of the Sprout Squad hands tending it showed up as beginners too. ๐Ÿ™Œ
Experts all started as beginners.
The point isโ€ฆ they started. โœจ

Nobody is born knowing how to grow food. ๐ŸŒฑ
Every okra pod, every lettuce leaf, every marigold you see here started with someone who didnโ€™t know what they were doing yetโ€ฆ and planted anyway. ๐ŸŒผ๐Ÿฅฌ
At the Peopleโ€™s Garden, our Sprout Squad learns by doing. You get your hands wet in water-based systems, you make mistakes, and you watch things grow. Nobody here started as an expert. ๐Ÿ’š

Days of heavy rain, more on the way, and a flood watch for Seminole County. The pump is running, but Mother Nature is winning this round.
Growing food outdoors means taking what the weather gives you. Tripped breakers, watered-down nutrient solution, flooded pathsโ€ฆ weโ€™ve seen it all.
A few years ago we lost tropical fruit trees planted in the ground. So we learned to grow in raised beds and containers with good drainage. ๐ŸŒฑ
Patience. Adapt. Keep growing. ๐Ÿ’š
